UX/UI designer & Product designer
Cloumi is a mental health app created for people seeking support during emotionally challenging times.
The goal was to build a user-friendly mobile app with a daily mood tracker, the ability to find a qualified specialist, and a way to connect with like-minded people facing similar challenges.
The task was to create a design for a mobile app that reduces feelings of anxiety, allows people to connect with others who share similar struggles, and enables daily tracking and updating of their mood.
Before creating the design, my task was to research what people feel and need from this type of app. So the first stage was Discovery, during which I conducted research and identified users' pain points. After that, I formed hypotheses, carried out a brief competitor analysis based on these hypotheses, and using this analysis, I created wireframes to build the app's user flow. Then I moved on to the UI part, created a mascot, and chose warm tones that evoke calmness.
As a result, I created a mascot that will guide users through the app. The app was designed using a warm color palette, and based on hypotheses and analysis, approximately 40 screens were created with user needs in mind.

I conducted an analysis of the pain points experienced by users of mental health apps on social networks: Threads, Reddit, TikTok. During the research, I identified the following issues:
“If you have the space for it, I find that writing down all my negative emotions, then reading them aloud and having a good cry, helps me get rid of them, and then everything feels better. It's not the perfect solution, but it's what I have, and it's the only thing that calms me down.”
“I also enjoy listening to poetry. The metaphors soothe me more than breathing instructions do, but even if that's not your thing, you'll find something to your taste in this diverse selection!”
“My friend and I live at opposite ends of the country. We send each other links to what we do every day to support one another.”
“Writing drives this out of my head and stops me from endlessly circling around the same thing.”
When I feel psychologically unwell, I want to receive support from another person with similar problems, to feel less alone and motivated to move forward.
01When I have intrusive thoughts swirling in my head, I want to write them down in a journal to understand the triggers and stop the endless ruminating.
02When I feel stressed or anxious, I want to distract myself with my favorite hobbies or activities to release emotions without the risk of getting lost in thoughts.
03When I feel anxious or have intrusive thoughts, I want to listen to music or meditate to calm down.
